Yesterday we toured the northern Irish coastline taking in The Giant's Causeway, Dunluce Castle and Cushenden before heading 'home' inland via the Dark Hedges. The Giant's Causeway is an amazing natural formation of basalt pillars and is (for want of a better word) gigantic. The columns vary between four, five or six edges but all interlock perfectly. We are currently at the most northern point of Ireland that we've planned to visit and at the moment there is nothing between us and Iceland except a huge expanse of water. It's a really gorgeous location and I almost commented to Scott that it would be wonderful to come back for a visit in the summer.....blonde moment I'm afraid.
