WARBY
The last time we spoke we had not long arrived at our accommodation with Hazel, Christian and the boys. Now we've been here almost a month! We've very lucky either staying in the sleepy wombat cottage, the tent and Hazel's friend Chris has kindly let us stay at his place.. very modern, tidy, homely eco build with a hot tub! We've had his place to ourselves for a long weekend when he's been in the city and stayed in his new converted build in his back garden whilst he's there! He's let us stay for free and the best bit is he's given us paid work! Hard physical labour for £9.20 an hour each! We've done a few days of shifting and stacking wood, moving rocks, weeding and mulching, raking his garden, and more log shifting. We've had so much fun working hard in the sun, one of the days we even made a home made workout with the logs ..that was hard work!
We've also been helping out Hazel and Christian in their 13 acre garden shifting logs, weeding and mulching helping them out after all they have done for us.
We've been regularly going to KOHA (community eats) see last blog- every Thursday giving a donation for a three course meal! We've been on a few lovely walks around the red wood forest and yarra river too.
On our nights to ourselves in the cottage we've lit the fire, had some ciders and played some rummy!
Hazel and Christian have a holiday home in Phillip Island and their kindly inviting us along to there family holiday for a long weekend. Hopefully to see the penguins, go to the beach (we haven't been since our day at St.Kilda) and some BBQs.
We will speak again soon, love to you all Xxxx
