We landed safely in Dubai after a great plane journey full of complimentary food, wine (14%!!!) and tea .. of course I (Megan) didn't like the food so ryan ended up eating both courses! No veggie meals for me :-( ..

We got the metro to the Dubai mall which was an experience after ryan sworn we were on the wrong train but I was adamant we were on the right one.. but we ended up getting off to be redirected back on the train we was originally on! Lol.

Our hotel is absolutely amazing; with a rooftop pool and spa! For our valentines meal Ryan took me to a roof top restaurant 'The Siddharta Lounge' the food was delicious and the view was even better. So much food we took it home with us in a doggy bag! Lol.

As you'd expect we were shattered by the time we got home so we got an early night at 9pm! I woke up and looked at my watch it said 7:58am! I thought great get out and make us breakfast in bed before our day at the water park. Turned on the light, boiled the kettle, and made our teas.. in doing this ryan was very confused and dazed and quiet.. whilst I was chatting away to myself.

Next thing ryan says "Babe, I think it's midnight" both ran to check our phones and oops I was still in UK time!! Haha lol sorry ryan! As I had rudely awoken ryan he was then awake drinking out teas so they didn't go to waste and eating our left over pizza!

What a joey I am!

Today we went to Aquaventure water park, it was no.1 in the Middle East and Europe! Ryan went on a slide where the floor beneath him opened and he was at a vertical drop .. he was petrified! I was too scared haha, but we went on everything else it was a great day just a little on the cold side as although 27 degrees.. no sun :-(

On the way back after our taxi home we did not have enough Dubai money in cash and ended up having a scary encounter with the Pakistan taxi driver who was off duty wanted his money and ryan had to run to the nearest ATM which wouldn't work, then to the hotel to get WIFI to transfer money, then back again whilst I stood with the scary man. Ended up paying him double for wasting his time! Oops won't be doing that again! Lol.

We currently are lying in bed winding down ready for our flight to Sydney at 8:55am. Transfer for 5 in the morning ..zzz
