Helloo!
We spent most of the 7th at the opening music event to kick off the Sydney festival. It was very funky - we had a picnic at the main stage then wandered round all the other stages, one of which was in the middle of the road in the central busines district! They just closed all the streets and let you wander around everywhere, cool. There were lots of street performances going on as well so we saw acrobats, gramaphone man, huge light displays and a rolling stock of painted caravans. The music was excelent, we especially liked the Norman Jay's Funk Bus - a big red london bus with a notting hill dj playing tunes all day.
Our favourite performance was called "As the world Tipped" an arial performance with performers dangled infront of a huge projection screen above the street running accros and over the images displayed on it - amazing.
Yesterday we went in search of the Bondi Vet, so we got the bus to Bondi beach and sat and snoozed on the sand for a while (and had fish and chips . . .) it was a bit over cast so we made a move home in the mid afternoon. Which turned out to be a good thing as we had the mother of all storms last night. it was mental - thunder, lightning, monsoon the works.
Today we walked round our own little tour of 'The Rocks' area of the city - its the most historical part and the 'arty' foody bit. our walk culminated in a walk to the middle of the harbour bridge - i took photos while chris hugged the walls and tried not to cry.
Still no sharks spotted.
Now at the library bloging - might get the free circular tour bus this afternoon for a bit then home for tea. moving on th Canberra on the 12th.
Bye Bye x Mrs P

Steve Taylor Still trying to get to grips with your use of the terms Austrialia and culture...such an oxymoron. Did you hear of the gay Aussie bloke who left his wife to return to Sydney..... Be on the look out for intelligent blonde Aussie females..locally known as golden retrievers....
