Helloo! From gun toting Latvia! inbetween being offered towels and bed linnen on checking in to our new hostel we were offered places on the AK47 day trip . . . .

Yesterday we visited Lake Trakai in Lithuania, it has a lovely castle and we went on a little boat trip round the lake. It made a nice change to being in the city. It was a bit like bodiam castle at home, we even had the 30 mins of torential rain to go with it. It cleared up though and was a nice day on the whole.

This morning we got on the coach to Latvia, 4 and a half hours later we rolled up at the 'Friendly Fun Franks Hostel' well a free beer with check in was nice!

Spent the afternoon walking round prety much all of the old town - it's not very big. Tommorow we are going to go to the 'occupation museum' and the 'powder tower' as they are free!

only 5 days to russia!.......
