Today we got up and relaxed around Camp Meade for the morning. After getting ourselves cleaned up we drove back to the Hoover Dam. Although we were already in Nevada we ended up having to park all the way back in Arizona. I am not joking. Not really anyway. The Hoover Dam is split in the middle by the Arizona-Nevada Border. It is also the line where you change your clocks so when we found we were running behind we just went back to the Nevada side…We are time traveling maniacs! But back to the parking…we really ended up having to park quite far from the Dam because we were in the RV. It was a long, long walk down hill which made for a great time walking back at the end of walking around the Dam for half a day. It was pretty interesting to see the Dam and particularly impressive that it was built in 1931. The project was finished under budget and 2 years ahead of schedule. To put that in perspective, they are building a new bridge to keep people off the Hoover Dam and they are already 2 years behind schedule and already over budget. After the Dam tour was finished (I can't get enough 'Dam' jokes) we hit the road and headed for the bright lights of Vegas. We stopped outside of Vegas to restock the groceries and then cruised into the SamTown RV Park which is away from the strip. There are really only two RV Parks that we knew of in Vegas, SamsTown and Circus Circus. Circus Circus is on the strip which seemed like a noisy bad idea and Samstown had free shuttles to the strip. We set up our stuff at Sam's and by around 8pm we were all in bed asleep.Vegas Baby! Yeah!

Alicia Sam's Town, cool...the inspiration for the name of The Killers album. Because you just needed to know that!
