Hi everyone,

Argh!!! Another city in boiling humid weather not fun!. Penang itself is a massive island off the coast of Malaysia but we based ourselves in Georgetown, the main town there.

Georgetown was a really nice city probably the most touristy place we had been to in Malaysia with loads of guest houses and western restaurants. Tons of impressive buildings and of course the standard chinatown and Asian area. There is a massive fort which was where the British stayed, so loads of old guns and storage etc, and we climbed up to the lookout

We headed out late one afternoon by bus to Kok Si Le Temple which is a massive complex of temples unfortunately for us we got there about 6.30 and it shut at 6 gutted !! Shouldnt go by guide books which said stayed open until 9pm, got to walk around the outside just didnt get to see inside though were sure there will be plenty more temples in Thailand.

Pretty citied out now so we decided to head back on ourselves to Pangkor, which will be our next instalment.
