Hi everyone,

After leaving Singapore we crossed uneventfully the border into Malaysia. First stop the bus station and deju vu, like South America again, people shouting at you from all directions, noise, strange smells, fab!!!

First stop Mersing where you can go to an island, except that once there we decided not to go (we know were strange) but hadnt heard that good reports on it and for Malaysia cost a fortune to get there. So instead we caught yet another bus to Melaka.

Melaka was a really nice relaxing city, had been colonised by the Dutch and the Portuguese so there was plenty to look at. And is also one of Malaysia richest towns so there were loads of upmarket malls good for that great invention called air conditioning. As we are beginning to realise it seems standard in all Malaysian cities there was also a Chinatown and Little India which were good to wander round.

Few days spent here then off to Kuala Lumpar.
