Tasha's Travels
Hello
We've spent two amazingly lazy weeks in Koh Phi Phi and are finally moving on tomorro to Koh Samui tomorrow!
Koh Phi Phi has been so lovely, the weather has been fantastic- boiling hot and plenty of sun, so we have literally been to the beach everyday and listened to music and read books, with much needed dips in the sea to cool off! In the evenings we've been eating the most amazing food and sipping on Mai Thais and Mojitos whilst watching the fire dancers do their stuff! Its been total bliss and exactly what we needed after the last 6months of travelling!
We also took a Thai Long boat tour of Koh Phi Phi Ley where we saw Viking Cave, Maya Beach- where the film 'The Beach" was made- so much smaller than you'd expect! We also did so much snorkelling, it was brilliant, the water is so blue and clear and the fish were the most amazing colours! Claire did get a few nibbles off the fish though- she thinks its because she's the same colour as the bread we fed them! hee hee
Our Boat dude was also totally obsessed with finding us 'Nemo'- he disappeared under water for ages, and then bobbed up to say he found a bunch of Nemo's hanging out in their house- so we dove down and saw them all poking their heads out!
All around Koh Phi Phi is stunning and the island itself is still really unspoilt despite being really touristy, its not too built up and there are so many locals cycling round and being friendly- its been a brillliant first stop for Thailand!
Fingers crossed for Koh Samui!
