Hi Everyone Well we have had our first full day in Sydney and i love it! Apparantly the last two weeks have been non stop rain, but we have blue skies and lots of sunshine- and today i was wearing just my tshirt!!!! Bye bye 5 layers and Uggs! Its great. We headed to the very trendy Paddington area where there are so many cool shops and boutiques, and we had the most amazing lunch- all fresh salads, not a pie or pastry in sight!! ( Kiwi bus only ever stopped at junk food spots) Then we strolled through hyde park and past palm trees and fountains towards the harbour! It was fantastic, i love the sun!!! We spent a while at the harbour, getting very snap happy with the bridge and opera house and then we just sat and people watched with an ice cream soaking up the rays!! Unfortunately we're staying in a total slum of a hostal, it is the worst place so far, its like a drug addicts bed sit, and we pay $25 for the privaledge! Which isn't cheap to us travellers......the other decent hostals are $34 and not in such a good location, but we're weighing things up! For obvious reasons we have spent as much time as we can out and about. We went to China town for the most enormous dinner, it was really bustly, the total opposite to Chirstchurch........and most of New Zealand! We've decided to take advantage of the weather while its nice and have booked a trip to the Blue Mountains tomorrow which will be brilliant, we're also planning to visit Bondi and Coogee beaches, and there is plenty of the city still to attack so think we'll be in Sydney for a good few days yet!!
