Sunday night, 7pm kick-off for the top Japan men's national rugby team which has taken on sponsorship from Toyota Motor Corp (TMC) in 2012.
The three-year agreement, financial details of which were not released, will run from 1st April this year through to 31st March, 2016.
Turned out to be a really great game to watch, of exceptionally high standard! Rohan and I both agree that the Japanese wings run the fastest we have ever seen. They are sure quick, with some very nimble hands and quick thinking! Good game boys; most exciting last five minutes with two tries and a penalty! Kept us on the edge of our seats!
Toyota Stadium (豊田スタジアム Toyota Sutajiamu) is a 45,000 seat retractable roof stadium in Toyota, Aichi Prefecture, Japan. It was built in 2001 and is often used as home to the J. League club Nagoya Grampus. The stadium is football specific, which gives matches an authentic football aura; however its location outside Nagoya city makes it impractical for consolidating the club's fan base in its billed hometown.
It is also used by Toyota Verblitz, a rugby union team in the Top League which is who we supported tonight.
Its roof is unique in that it folds much like an accordion.
Toyota Stadium is one of the venues of the FIFA Club World Cup (formerly the Toyota Cup).
