Singapore has been fantastic. Arrived and jumped on a train towards the district of Little India, where our hostel is. Within about an hour of landing I already decided i loved it, everywhere is super clean and the people unbelievably friendly and kind. Love the cultural and religous diversity too. We were on real tight schedule so didnt get to do/ see it all but definitely got a taste of it. Wondered around the city a lot, round some markets - fruit/ veg/ fish/ meat. Went to china town where they were celebrating in preparation for chinese new year - amazing lights, food stalls etc. Yummy chinese off the streets. Then at the other end of hte scale we had a singapore sling in raffles and went up to the 70th floor of the Swisshotel (felt right at home!) and looked out over the most STUNNING veiw of the city. We were there only one night but didnt sleep as wanted to do so much and had met heaps of fun people at the hostel to go out with too. Slept in a dorm with 20 others - will have to get used to snoring i think! Also, showered on the rooftop in the baking heat, loved that! All in all, really glad I have seen that place, it reminded me of HongKong a bit, or some of the nice bits in Bangkok. Smiles from Singapore and love to all... x
