Our adventure from today was to travel across the south west of France from Bordeaux to Marseille It looked as though Bordeaux was going to have a fine day!!! Alas, too late for us. We really loved Bordeaux and think a return visit could be on the cards one day. We found vineyards at last as we travelled south. Tonight's' dinner!! We shared a bottle of Bordeaux red, a tin of sardines and a couple of slices of French bread stick (that we pinched from the restaurant last night!!!). Really yummy!!!

This is the La Cite du Vin, a unique place devoted to the cultures of wine, a new wine centre opened in June last year. It was sensational. There were interactive displays like none we'd seen before. Of course it was mainly about French wine. Australian wines don't feature greatly in their presentation (Peter Lehman's son and the Barossa was the only representation).
