Suzie and David
We had a whirlwind overnight visit to Berlin on our way to 'elsewhere'.
Again the architecture of buildings changed as we left France and made our way across the German landscape. The farms were smaller - again no animals (surely they're all snuggled up in their barns!!). It rained most of the way so the view from the train was eerie and presented a typical winter scene. Gorgeous. The little villages along the way were more colourful than we've seen on our travels so far.
We arrived in Berlin late arvo to the hugest train station we've seen so far. Four levels of train lines going every which way. The building itself seem fairly new with lots of glass. A huge stainless steel art piece of a horse stands out the front. See pic.
