Monday 4th January 2010

Today we had a well deserved lay in and got up and ready by about 11.30am for a full day of hello and goodbyes. First meeting of the day was Daisy and Mark who we had met on the west coast during our western exposure tour and also if you remember we did a road trip with them from Darwin to Alice Springs they are now working in Sydney for the next few months. We all met up in Circular Quay at the ship inn for lunch it was great to see them and to catch up.

After we had finished lunch we then had to pop to back to the apartment where we had been staying with Mum to pick up Suzie's walking boots that she had left which then made us late for our next meeting. We then got the bus to Randwick to meet Suzie's friend Vicky who she had done her training with for coffee. Vicky is also travelling but is currently working in Sydney on the agency nursing.

From here we then walked to The Spot which is near Coogee to meet my friend Gemma for tea along with her friend Charlotte and we were actually early for a change!! We ate at a nice small Italian and since it was nice weather we all sat outside the food was excellent. Gemma had to leave soon after as she was on a night shift at Sydney Children's. Suzie and I then caught the bus back to Coogee used the internet quickly and then went back to the backpackers to get ready to meet Emily and Jo for farewell drinks at the Coogee Bay hotel. It was a great night but again a late one as usual.

Tuesday 5th January 2010

This morning it was up earlish to get packed and checked out ready for our flight to Melbourne at 12.50pm. Our friend Stu gave us a lift to the airport which was really good of him and it meant we didn't have to mess about on the bus with all our luggage. No problems at the airport all smooth running and the flight left on time goodbye Sydney hello Melbourne again!!!
