So a sun sets on another year! Cant believe its 2007 already, where did the time go. Anyway have a few hours before my flight so gona get up to date! Go me!

Right so friday morning my auntie dropped me off at the bus station and I headed off back to Melbourne for New Year. 10 hours on a bus - so not long but I didnt fancy the night bus and the time flew pretty quick. Arrived evening and Kate (who I met last year in europe) picked me up from the station and I went to stay at hers! Her place was so nice and right next to the station which was kool- it even had a gym- which I used would you believe- go me!

Kate had been amazing and had organised everything (well actually I think Rachael may have done alot of it but still - thanks guys! :) id been telling everyone - my new year was in a field... and it was... on an island...a field on an island! Headed down to Philip Island which is about an hours drive from the city and where most people go to look at penguins! Well anyway I didnt see any penguins but I did see lots of kool Australian bands! The festival was called Pyramid Rock and we camped in a big tent with 4 of Kates mates Sat and Sunday night! The bands played right through the day, Xavier...Silver Chair... Living End....Evermore... (stu you may know some of these). New year Rocked until they stuck The freestylers 9west london) .. and then with shouts of 'all the rude girls in the house stand up' I went to bed! the plan was to get up again but turns out I slept right through and monday we had to pack up and leave... with the rest of the 20,000 people and their cars. We were stuck in the field waiting to leave for about ooo 2 hours then another 2hours off the island and 1hour actually moving--- :) it was just like being at home! Was funny could have been half way to Adelaide- just not used to traffic over here... still didnt see the pengiuns- but i wonder if they liked the festival!

Anyways- had an awesome time. Kates mates were kool and the tent was all organised and stuff. All i had to do was turn up! Lucky me! Also have a new appreciation for Aussie music... didgereedoos and all!

Monday night pretty much collapsed and HAD A SHOWER then tuesday chilled out in the city organising all my flights and doing admin things..Evening went to the cinema to see HAPPY FEET- soo good, , and guess what it had penguins in it! Yesterday met up with Naomi on the beach and had one last go at the tan just in case NZ is cold! I have one jumper! Im screwed! Evening headed out to the best restuarnt ever! Its called Lentil as Anything and its all healthy veggie food! It doesnt have any prices on the menu! Sooo kool, you pay what you feel the meal is worth! How good is that! Had some Morroccan Veggie thing..gorgeous! Wana take ti with me... !

Today. Did one final thing before I leave! I went to visit Ramsey Street! How kool is that. Its soo much smaller than you think but the house all look the same and the postboxes and things- very kool! One of the bet things in Australia def!! Also met Darcy - you remember? - who is actually pretty shy and now has very grey hair!

What will I remember about Australia...lets see... Eskies and cans of everything, Neighbours of course, the drive through Bottle shop and oh yeah Kangaroos! Yeah that pretty much sums it up! Had a good time- see you in NZ!
