was Awesome to be with Jo and Mikey who have clearly had the best trip ever and are looking really good for it! Lots of smiles and with our little Honda Getz 1.6 engine.. we headed off on the start of our three day adventure to Adelaide. One thing I will remember from this trip aside from the beautiful views and breathtaking scenery is... i think...the Cricket. Cricket. Everywhere. It stops me watching neighbours and I think we listened to a good 24hours worth of Cricket the whole way up the east coast. Don't get me wrong I love Mikey but boys who like Cricket well, and listening to it on the radio is i think 10 times worse than anything else cos its soo boring. They talk about the weather they talk about the grass and oh look someones hit the ball, he runs..wow.. Nice weather! It didnt cause too much trouble tho- the radio stations over here suck too so I chilled out in the back and slept a bit, learning nothing about cricket! :D
So we drove for a few hours on the first day with a stop off so mikey could go surfing in Torquay...(where a few days later there was a shark attack---eeeekk). Me and jo opted for the shore and if mikey did stand up..then i dont think we noticed- there were too many people who all looked the same -plus we were having a chat! :). Headed up the coast and under the giant GOR sign (awesome pic of me there) and through Apollo Bay to see the 12 apostles,(giant rocks which look pretty kool). Hired a little flat for the evening and chilled out with wine and cheese. Oh and I should mention - missed neighbours and watch 2 hours of Cricket. By this time I was really interested in it...not. I just dont get it. Sorry mikey its crap! But the wine and cheese evening rocked! :D

Next day got up reasonably early to drive a bit more. Up past some look out points and down to the Lighbouse which was only impressive because there were soo many koalas on the way down the road. Think we counted about 10 and one extra as we have a picture of Mikey in the tree pretending to be a Koala. Most Koalas ever. No kangaroos as yet and def no emus- although they were apparently supposed to be everywhere. Past quite a few winerys on the friday too and the countryside was quite pretty. It also started to be more sunny which was nice, melbournes kool but its weather is pretty random. I dont understnad how people know what to wear everyday...anyway stopped for tea at a place called Keith, and after meeting Keith kept going and started on the inland track towards the Grampians, a mountainous range east of the GORoad. The scenery was really pretty here and we pulled up to a cute town- Halls Gap and checked into the YHA just in time for Neighbours. Awesome! Last one of the series before the Xmas break... Toadie got shot! Hes lying on the road outside Stephs house..eeek..its ok i think he makes it.!

Next morning got up for breakfast pretty late and decided to do a long walk, easy, medium or hard...of course we went for hard and drove a fair bit to Mount Stapleton or Sturgeon I cant remember. Either way it was an awesome hike. We had to follow these little red markers to the middle of nowhere and I think we could have done with hiking boots and rope equipment. At times it was pretty steep. Climbed to the top and had lunch looking around at all the flat arid land and surrounding mountains. Pretty kool. Good pics too. It was pretty hot and when we got back and pretty much collapsed after cooking i think the best meal ever. Well done us :D

Next day was a big day of driving and i think it took about 8 hours to get to adelaide. Mission. But don't worry - there was criket. We all took turns and only got stopped by the police once. I think he wanted to warn us about darting Emu's. Didn;t see any was gutted but anyway. got to addelaide safetly and headed out for dinner after checking into the hostel for the night. Monday I was to meet up with family and it was Jo and Mikeys three year Anniversay! Happy anniversary guys! Lots of love
