The final day is upon us.
We started out early and set off quickly so we could have breakfast at the Eiffel Tower before. Our empty bellies didn't let us get that far and we stopped for a crepe about halfway but picked up some pastries and snacked on them at the base of the tower looking up. We toured a little farther down Champs de Mars to get a full frame shot and then started the walk towards the cathedral. I spied a tobacconist and we detoured to a cafe for a cigarillo, coffee and crossword. On to Saint Chapelle which was unfortunately closed at that time but luckily the Cathedral was not so we took many pictures outside then ventured in for some more. Next up was Rue Mouffetard in hopes they had a market on today which sadly was not the case but it was a cute little area and we grabbed a snack while we were there. We ventured in to the Latin Quarter and spent a while alternating between window shopping and coffees/ciders. Supper(much to our shame) was fondue again. Delicious and damnit on the last night of our honeymoon, we will eat what makes us happy. And that is molten cheese and bread.
With supper finished and the light fading we went back to the cathedral so Sus could get some night shots of it. Walked to the Louvre getting some good shots of the city hall on the way. Took a bunch of pictures in the plaza at the Louvre, what a spectacular building. With full bellies, sore feet and a packed camera memory card we had to admit it was time to get back and prepare for a long day of travel tomorrow. It's been a pleasure getting to share the trip with all/anyone who is actually still reading this and once we've had a chance to go through the pictures I'm sure we(read Sus) will be posting/distributing them in the near future. It's been a slice, a bientot!
