Things couldn't be any better here! I fall more and more in love with this place each and everyday. School is good, its easy, and helping my Spanish...Y por las noches, lo paso el rato con mis amigos y amigas....Sometime the best part of the day is just walking to school or riding my bike. Theres something about this place that just relaxes you, and slows down your life. I haven't been preoccupied with the little things, like I usually am back home..i feel very liberated, and im thankful for this!
My Spanish is coming along, but im not still not practicing as much as Id like. Im able to get by just fine, but I hate how there are still things/thoughts I wanna say but cant. Its hard, because making Spanish friends here is actually my biggest challenge...The girls have no reason to befriend you, and the boys...welll they have, uh, different motives...so im a lil frustrated with that, but hopefully soon Ill meet some Espanoles who can be just my friends. Im def sick of always being with American students, and the best nights Ive had here were def when we were stuggling to communicate with locals, haha.
The nightlife is fun, but like I said above, im really wanting to find more of the local spots, rather than going to the las discotecas I could be dancing at in the US..nonetheless, I love it! THe schedules here are CRAZY tho, the clubs dont even get crowded until two..and its very typical for us to arrive home at 5am-6!!! haha...but thats just how they live here, its not even forwned upon.
Right now life is a lil hectic because were trying to get all our plans in order to travel on the weekends and breaks...I booked a five day trip to london in two weeks that I am SOOOOOOOOOOOOO EXCITED FOR! During Semana Santa, I have a week off, and were looking at doing Paris, Amsterdam, then Prauge. Feria De Abril, another week off, I wanna spend half here cause its world famous, and the other half hopefully in Mykonos, Greece! Lastly, I just spent the last 85932850913 hours researching my plans for after schools out, when Colt comes. Things are looking great, and I found dirt cheap flights. Our plans would be: show him around Sevilla for 2-3 days, Barcelona/San Sebastian, Ibiza for sat and sun, then Budapest, fly into Naples, train to Rome, then back to Madrid! Sounds nuts? It is! But Ive found all there inter-Europe flights for about 270 Euros! And we'd do cheap hostels...so things are looking good with that!If anyone has imput/tips for any of that planning, lemme know!!
