Sunday 21st June - had a fun day today! We went white water rafting in the morning which was amazing, jumped off the boat and did some swimming too! We managed to keep pretty good control on the rapids so managed not to flip the boat! Spent the afternoon exploring the town of Jackson Hole, Wyoming which is a nice old fashioned place with lots of gift shops and nice homemade ice cream. There were plenty of cowboy hat shops too although I managed to resist buying...

Saturday 20th June - had a busy day today exploring the geysers at Yellowstone National Park. It was amazing to be able to get so close to them and see all the vibrant colours. We then drove to Grand Teton National Park and hiked round Lake Jenny and took a nice boat trip over the lake too. We had dinner in the town of Jackson Hole and went to the Million Dollar Cowboy Bar for drinks (the bar stools are horse saddles!) and saw a live country music band.

Friday 19th June - started off the day with a five and a half mile hike around some of Yellowstone! A shock to the system for most of us but definitely worthwhile for the stunning views. Spent plenty of time in the many gift shops as well as checking out the different areas of the park. Went into West Yellowstone for dinner at a pizza restaurant and had an early night after an exhausting day.

Thursday 18th June - left Cody Wyoming to go to Yellowstone National Park. Stopped off at Old Trail Town to see a collection of historic western buildings associated with Cody, the town established by Buffalo Bill. Explored some of the Park when we arrived, saw lots of Bison but the most exciting spots were a Brown bear and a Black bear with her cubs! Amazing to be able to see them out in the wild rather than at a zoo! Had a cook out at night at the cabins ove...

Wednesday 17th June - started off the day with a walk round Devils Tower National Monument and saw some cute prairie dogs in the area too! It was then a long drive to Wyoming, arrived quite late but managed to get to Cody, Wyoming in time to catch the Rodeo show! The rodeo was fun to watch and luckily there were no injuries but it looked pretty dangerous. Was pretty exciting to see some real cowboys!!
