We arrived in Singapore into a tropical downpore, however, by the time we cleared immigration and collected our luggage the rain had gone off and the sun was shining. It felt so good to feel the sun on our faces again.

The last leg of the journey had been on the new Airbus A380 which is huge, having two floors. Mum travelled business class upstairs and despite, putting on a good show of being a little old ladies carers we were confined to the basement. It was a real upstairs downstairs affair.

James met us at Changi airport and whisked us off to his appartment on Sentosa Island where Laura had champagne on ice awaiting our arrival.
