From old world Melaka we are back in the 21st century again in Kuala Lumpur. Another impressively modern city which is undergoing rapid development. It is very like Singapore about 15 years ago except that it still has plenty of litter.
Yesterday we took the city bus tour to get our bearings and finished off the afternoon with a trip to the top of the KL tower. At 440m tall, the view was spectacular as you can see from the pictures. In the evening we ate fish in a Chinese restaurant and went on to celebrate Rick's birthday in style at the Skybar. The night time views of the Petronas Towers were spectacular. The prices of the cocktails were pretty spectacular too.
Today we had an organised tour around the city which took in the National Monument, the Palace, National Mosque (don't you think Susan makes a very demure moslem lady?), National Square and Bat Cave.
Tomorrow we head off to the Cameron Highlands, perhaps for some trekking or perhaps some strawberries and cream.
Temperature 32C, Mosy bites 0 (Monkey bites 1, Robin(well it shouldn't have stollen my pie.)), Ailments 1(Susan - after effects of Chinese fish.) Accidents 1.
