Ok so its been a while since i last updated and i am very far behind, so here goes another mamouth entry for you guys to battle ur way through! happy reading, keep the comments coming, i do look at them just cant seem 2 reply!

So I believe my last entry was when we were leaving Wellington?! Well after our night out and saying our goodbyes, the following day we jumped on the ferry from Wellington to Picton in the south island. It was a 3hour ferry journey in which we had some games of irish snap and took a few pics of the beautiful scenery as we came closer to the south island. Once we got to Picton we jumped on the coach adn headed to Nelson. We arrived in the rain, yay! :( but the rain didnt put us off, we decided to go for a wonder and had heard that there was a swimming pool near our hostel :) so went in search of that to discover it closed early as it was anzac day :9 then we went back to the hostel for free beer tasting :) and then cooked our yummy instand noodles! The evening was spent playing card games with everyone and i had a lovel phone call from mum and dad :D it was nice to chat to them :D

The next day we got up adn had our $5 all you can breakfast of toast and cereals :) 2bowls of cereals and 2 pieces of toast and a hot chocolate later we jumped on the bus and headed to Westport. On the way we stopped at Nelson lakes and did a quick walk there which was nice but there were loads of sandflies and it was still a bit drizzly :( There were also eels in the lake which Andy got in and fed and then him and Nina jumped off the jetty into the lake! crazy people! Then in was back on the road to Westport with a short stop for lunch, where Mak and i had the biggest chocolate muffin ever! We got to our hostel in the late afternoon and managed to get a room with all of the people we had made good friends with and ended up gettin like a massive shed/room with tv, kitchen, toilet, and wood burner! We had been told that there was a beach nearby so Mak, Nina and I went in search of it and ended up walking out of WEstport and we still couldnt find it! So we gave up as we could see and massive rain clooud heading our way :s In the evening we did a 3-legged pub crawl where we had our names in a hat and then they were picked out so we got to know different people. It was really fun and everyone joined in so it was a gd night out :)

The next day we left Westport and went to Foulwinds where there was a large seal colony :) then we drove a bit further to Pancake roocks and the blowhole, which were cool, but the sea wasnt rough enough so wasnt coming out the blowhole :( Then it was on to Greymouth where we had and hour and a half to find an outfit for the fancy dress party that evening, which had the theme 'What you want to be when u are older' so it was a really wide theme making it even harder to find things! Finally we mangaed get everything for our costumes and them we head to our home for the night, The Poo Pub by Lake Mahinapua, it was in the middle of no-where and was still raining when we got there so we spent 2hours before dinner makinf our costumes! then we had a lovely steak dinner and it was time to put on our costumes. I went as a giraffe (obviously thats what i've always wanted to be!) and Mak was a bee! there were some really good costumes and it was a really fun night.

The next day we headed to Franz josef, again it was still raining :( I fell asleep on the coach and so missed the glacier as we drove into FJ! When we got there there had been a powercut since the early afternoon so we couldnt do much! We went to a cafe with Rob and Ruth and had hot chocolate! Luckily in the eve the power came back on :)and we wrote a bit of our journals and in the eve went to teh pub for a bit. Then Mak and I went for a walk round the block like 4 times. (we started getting funny looks from the people in the restaurant by the 3rd time we had walked passed!) then we sat down for a bit and the guys we had met in fiji who use to go to QEH came past and we sat adn chatted to them adn taught them how to play irish snap. Then this massive moth came along and attacked Oscar so we left before it came and attacked us!

the next day we were meant to be doing a hike up the glacier but when we woke up it was still raining! we got ready adn waled to the glacier centre to see if it was still on, but by the time we had walked to the centre our trousers were soaked through and we discovered they were only running a half day hike, and as we were already wet and cold we decided not to do it as we didnt want to become really ill! so we spent the day uploading photos on teh net and catching up with our journals. In the eve we went to the pub for a bit then had an early night.

The next dat we got up at 5.30! as we were meant to be being picked up at 6.15 to go skydive, but i had a blocked ear since the night before and so was temporairly deaf adn the skydive dude said i wouldnt be able to skydive :( but that he would come back for the others at 8 as it was still dark adn they werent sure if they would be able to go up. so we spent an hour messing on the net and then the dude came back and said it wasnt on as it was too cloudy anyway! So on the coach we hopped and went to Lake Matheson for a walk :) It is the most photographed lake in NZ, so we took lots of photos as you could see the reflections of the mountains in it! Then we went to the last view of the westcoast and we headed southeast to Thundercreek falls and then on to Wanaka where guess what it was raining! surprise surprise! In wanaka we had a quick walk down to the lake and then went adn cooked some food and had an early night.

The next morning Nina and Mak went off and skydived (i still had a blocked ear so couldnt do it) and the rest of us went to Puzzling world, which was a really weird place, there was a big maze which we got lost in and then a few optical illusion rooms which were bizzar but rather cool, and really hard to discribe to you so u'll just have to wait to see the photos! Then we headed to Queenstown, and stopped at the original bungy sight where we watched members of our bus throw themselves off the bridge! then we finally got into queenstown itself which was really pretty. For the rest of the afternoon we just wondered round the town adn down to tha lake. in the evening everyone went out to the bar at the hostel adn did a pub quiz and then we went to the world bar where there were free drinks if u knew the password which was 'show me your ring my prescious' we partied into the ealry hours of the mornign adn finally went to bed sometime after 3 :)

The next day we just spent relaxing, we sat by the lake for over an hour and also started to figure out our route for OZ. We had a relaxing ecvening, eating popcorn adn watching back to the future 2 in the tv room then had an early night.

The next day we went on a trip to Milford sounds and on the way stopped at mirror lakes which were really kl as the water was so clear they gave amazing reflections. We had a 2hour boat cruise through the milford sounds and then went to an underwater observatory. Then it was back on teh bus for the almost 4hr drive back to Queenstown with a short stop at Te Anu. In the evening we went out again as people who we had left in Wellington who had been on our original bus had arrived. :) it was really nice to see them all again :)

Then next day was a long drving day to christchurch and we didnt get htere til almost 5 and just wondered around for abit with paul and sara. Then went on the net for a bit and i managed to chat to Tom :) then off to bed. The next day we had til 11.30 til we had to go adn get a bus to the airport so we wondered round some shops and sat in starbucks. Finally it was goodbye NZ and hello OZ. We arrived in OZ, where we were meant to be staying with Mak's Mum's friends and we thought we would be able to get a bus there but turned out we could only get a taxi, but we finally got there! It was so nice to be in a home and nt a hostel. Their flat was very nice and we had our own little room where we could finally unpack for once as we were staying with them for 3nights. We spent the evening chatting and then headed to bed.

The next day they dropped us at the start of the Sydney Harbour Bridge and we walked across it. Then we walked round 'The Rocks' and checked out the base hostel where we were going to spend our last night in sydney as the oz bus picked up at 6.20am! The hostel seemed nice so we booked that and then went adn had lunch by Darling harbour. Then we walked through Hyde park and the botanical gardens to the sydney oprea house and then got a ferry across to Manly where we looked in the surfy shops and wondered along the beach. Then in was the bus back to Neutral bay to Janet and Rogers flat. We had a lovely evening, sitting and chatting again.

The following day we caught a bus to Bondi beach where we spent the day lying in the sun :) Then we went back and cooked a roast dinner for janet and roger :) which was fun. Our last day in Sydney Janet and Roger took us up to some of the northern beaches like 'dee why' and we had a lovely day trip with them in their little red sports car and as it was a nice day we had the roof down! In the evening we had pizza and then they took us to the hostel, that was an intresting trip as we had to put our packs on our laps as the boot wasnt big enough, it was a squish in teh back seeing as sports cars dont generally consider that the people in the back have legs let alone 20kg packs on their laps, luckily it wasnt too far to go! then once we said our goodbye adn check in to teh hostel, we went on teh net quickly adn then had an early night.

The next day we were up at 5.15 and ready to get the bus at 6.20 but it didnt turn up til 6.40, then we were on our way to surf camp. On the way we saw some wild kangaroos and finally reached surf camp in the evening intime for some food and an ealry night.

i'll leave it there as i'm sure u are hanging by this point as i have just updated about 2weeks worth of stuff! Hope u enjoyed it and i'll try keep a bit more up to date from now onwards!
