World Cruise 2013
Docked this morning. My tour today was to Phang Nga Bay National Park. The incredible scenery of massive limestone blocks arising from the bottom of the sea is spectacular. There are 40 of these islands with sheer cliffs, overhangs and caves. One of these (Koh Tapu) has been renamed James Bond Island because of its starring role in the 1974 movie "The Man with the Golden Gun".
Then a visit to the Panyee fishing village built out over the water on stilts.
Finally a stop at Khai Island and a white sandy beach for a swim and snack. The day was very hot (100 F) and the swim was refreshing. Then back to the ship.
Transportation to these area was by high speed boats each holding one busload of us.
