I stayed aboard ship all day but went on the free event this evening where all the passengers visited the tallest building and the a cruise on the river in a classic Vietnamese party boat. The city light were beautiful but it was very hot.

Arrived in DaNang this morning. My tour off the ship included the Cham Museum, an embroidery store and factory, a walk through a vast market, a trip to a very fine Buddist temple on a high point overlooking the city, and a visit to China Beach also known as Marble Beach. Also we're shown many marble statuary and furniture using the local marble from five mountains in the city. Dinner with Paul Deegan, a new speaker.

Another clear day in HongKong but still there is smog. Breakfast with Marie in her Peninsula Hotel lobby venue. Did more walking and shopping before we parted - she checking out of her room and I returning to the ship to participate in a World Cruise Event at the horse racetrack. We had use of a private space and were served wine and dim sum. A few of us bet on some of the races but we were mostly unskilled at the system. Returning to the ship, I ate at Heather'...
