Moored well away from city then bussed into area of our tour for 2.5 hours. First we entered a boat and were taken in the Klong along the shores of which were several colorful temples. The side canal we were shown no longer had floating market boats or wooden homes built into the water. We stopped at the Temple of Dawn and then had a great lunch at the Oriental Hotel restaurant. Planned on a beach day and BBQ but there was heavy rain forcing cancellation. So had the meal on the ship after it was returned from the beach. Pulled up anchor and left for Bangkok.

After breakfast I left on a Seabourn tour by bus to a very rickety dock and landing for an open boat ride down the Prek Tuk Sap River for about 90 minutes and then docked at another very difficult dock. We then had a one mile trek through the forest to lunch at a small simple resort at Koh Som Poch Beach. Some of us swam. I didn't. Again a very warm day and only small swells. One of the lectures was about the Mekong River and how it goes through or between 6 countries, only one of which is not Communist. Tonight is formal Seabourn Club reception and dinner the Ship Doctor. The new singers and dancers perform tonight. I did not care for the show but most others did.

Warm again this morning. Stayed aboard ship today. Carole left with a group of 37 for Cambodia early afternoon. Very heavy rainstorm this afternoon with wind and thunder. Started a new book, "Bury Your Dead" by Louise Penny. Entertainment tonight was a dulcimer player.
