There are a few things I won't get used to here. First, you cannot put toilet paper in the toilet. It must ALL go in the trash... No matter what! Ew. Second, the wild dogs around here that are skinny and dirty. I just wanna take them home and clean them up!! Third, remembering certain things you mustn't do, say, eat, or drink. It's tough to remember all the rules. But oh well, moving on. Today, a group of us went to Old Town and then to Teleferico. Basically it's a huge mountain with hiking and such, but long story short: it stormed, I'm afraid of heights, and I was freezing. On top of these things happening to me, I was in a new place and transportation in other countries just isn't the same as America. It's scary to say the least. Now when I reflect on my day, it wasn't so bad. But, I remember so many times thinking "I am so scared right now" and "I just wanna be home". But, that is why I came here. I'm afraid of many things and it feels good to face some of them and get through it. I love the house I am staying in. It is a huge 8-10 bedroom casa and our host family seems to be wealthy! They are friendly and inviting, but a bit of a language barrier still. I have been worried about showering because it seems like a hot topic around here. Most showers are cold, but I scored a hot one and I think it was my timing. I just gotta beat everyone to it! It's almost time for la cena (dinner) and I'm exhausted. Let's see what tomorrow holds for me!!
