A nice sleep in, and we all met up at the Cabana, for the breakfast buffet in the warmth beside the pool. Today was the worst day for weather but was still great, 28 degrees but rain on and off. After breakfast we whipped our togs on and ran to the beach, wasn't a far run as our rooms literally open up onto the sand and is only about 20m away from the water. The water was warm and with snorkels, there was plenty of pretty fish to see around the reef - or try catch if you're Matthew. After a nice long swim in the water, we all headed our own ways for some relaxing time.
When the sun came out for a bit there was some lying on the seats in the sun, and a bit more swimming before the big night out. While Matt, Rich, Casey and Rebecca went snorkelling, Rebecca ended up in a rip getting further and further out, with a broken elbow and a lot of effort she finally made it back in after a long 25 minutes.
Around 6pm we all made our way to the Resort kitchen for the big night - dinner, show and the official night to celebrate Mum's 50th. Dinner was a very nice buffet, followed by a local band singing and dancing, which Nicole got called up for, and they made a special song and cake for Mum in front of everyone for her birthday.
Once the band left we made the most of the music and dance floor and had a great night, plenty of dancing and singing, before Matt's best friend - the grumpy German, complained about the noise and we were kicked to the bar, where we had more fun, more singing, chatting and drinking.
When the bar finally closed late that night we headed off to bed, for a nice sleep and recovery ready for another sunny, fun day in Samoa.
