Last morning at the resort. A bit of an earlier start compared to the other days. A final breakfast and a swim before packing our bags and checking out. The resort staff performed a few songs for us to say goodbye, then we loaded up the vans and said goodbye and had one last trip through the villages to Apia airport.
We checked in and made our way through the not so scary security and up the stairs to our gate. We had great interest in watching the Royal New Zealand Airforce plane unload full of American soldiers and a few NZ Navy members. A few of us decided to fetch some food before getting on the plane... though not all the food was edible. It was an interesting experience.
We boarded the plane on time and all settled in to watch some movies and relax with a nice plane meal before landed in Auckland.
Once we landed we were all straight into the duty-free stocking up then heading through customs and to the other side. Once all that was done we said our goodbyes and went out sperate ways to the airport hotels for the night, for dinner and a nice early night.
Friday morning everyone was up nice and early, at the airport and on our way home on the last flight of the trip.
We all made it home our separate ways nice and safely and a little less white than we left.
Thanks Mum and Dad so much for such an amazing holiday! Was a great time and great to spend time together with the people close to us.
HAPPY 50th SUE XOXOXO
