Our last proper day in Samoa! A bit of an earlier start for breakfast then we loaded up the vans and headed into Apia. We had a quick van tour around the city to see where we were going and just to have a good look at the whole city before we got out. We jumped out at the cathedral for a look around, making the decision that all their money goes towards churches!!!!
Then we headed down the street for a look in some shops and the markets, before we stopped at the food market for some fresh fish and chips, which we ate on the grass in the city. They were very very good, though more than one of us felt crook afterwards. Clarkey then gave all the leftovers to a needing family and we carried on our way for a bit more of a look.
Some of us decided to stop for a drink in the sun in the city before making our way back to the van and back to the resort.
When we made it back we were all ready for a swim for the last time, so we hopped in our togs, grabbed our snorkel gear and headed out to the water for a look at fish, perfect timing too as it was just after low tide and there were lots of new fish swimming around.
The last dinner of the holiday was another buffet and a show. This time a fire show. Dinner again was great and the show was even better. It's amazing what they can do with fire sticks! A 10-year-old boy performed and he was amazing! Later we were told he's the national champ.
After dinner, we headed back to the Turners for more drinks to celebrate the holiday before heading to bed for the last time at the resort.
