Two days of frantically dashing from Dr to scan to Dr to specialist & more scans. Then 2 days after the initial Dr's appointment Pete's had surgery to remove a kidney stone.
If that'd flared up in the USA we'd be up for huge hospital fees as I'm sure the insurance co would count it as pre-existing given he had one last year.
