Sue Thanks guys, it seems to have been longer than two months. Not sure how we will settle back to normality.
re: Chilling in LAMilla and Mr Robert Wow what a trip! We've really enjoyed reading your exploits sounds like you've had a blast! we'd feel sorry for you having to get back to normal everyday life if you weren't going back to tropical Aus- life's tough I guess! lol
re: Chilling in LASug Interesting concept Ann. In Canada they use litres so we converted to the US gallon for comparison. Either way they're both cheaper than Australia.
re: On the home stretchann Re fuel prices. We found that the Canadian gallon was a different size to the US gallon - does that still apply and does it make you happier? :)
re: On the home stretchAnn Hard to believe it's time to start thinking about the last 11 days. Still lots more adventures to have.
re: From French to EnglishSue Pete would love the winter but I'm thinking we'd need a second home to bolt to as soon as it gets too cold. Given the real estate prices its quite possible we could afford a second home some place warm.
re: Cruising the St LawrenceDee Sounds like the perfect place to retire... could be a bit chilly in winter in comparison to Queensland though :)
re: Cruising the St LawrenceSue Hmmmmmm good q lol We get slugged a $580 one way fee if we don't take the car back to Dallas. Our flight home leaves LA near midnight on the 27th. So, at some point we will return to drop off the car and fly to LA probably the same day as we fly out BUT wevwill possibly get to LA a day early and do a bus tour to Mexico.
re: From French to EnglishSue Lol We had hoped the Canadian garages would be diff to the US hence holding out til here but I guess a buck is a buck :-( We've been buying 500ml bottles of water in US, packs of 24 for $3 or $4 so no complaints there! In the shops, chilled its only $1 unless in a tourist area then it's $2, still cheaper than Oz.
re:Sue Not sure I can keep supplying a crazy of the day, NY is pretty unique when it comes to the loony fringe lol
re: Another big day of walkingAnn finally able to get back and see what you are up to, courtesy of work. Road closed for 5 days, telephones still out after a huge storm. Road opens tomorrow so we will get out finally. I will be finishing a 21 shift:( I also love the daily 'crazy', keep them coming:)
re: Another big day of walkingSue Yeah Dee, he was so funny, he kept going and going even after crossing the road he was still yelling from the other side lol It's hard to pick the crazy of the day, so many to choose from here but he was the clear winner yesterday lol
re: Another big day of walking- last visited
