The drive to Moruya was long but not arduous. We took turns in driving and I was getting texts from GN that kept a smile on my face. Lil and I arrived, set up camp and met up with the crew. I checked in, got my gear checked and bought some tickets and was ready to rock and roll. After my first jump back in a while, I was feeling better. The landing area wasn't too bad, the view was stunning and I was jumping out of a caravan so I had a little confidence about myself.
I spent the following day on a canopy course with Jules hop and popping out of the 206. It was great fun and I met a nice new crew of jumpers.
On New Years Eve Lil and I drove to Canberra and saw the New Year in with Bella and Jules. We had a fabulous night of drinking dancing and singing. Over the course of the evening I spoke to GN. He had attempted a synchronised backflip into the Toogs pool and split his head clean open. Luckily there was a midwife at the party with her kit and she sewed his head up nice and tight. Somewhere in there GN also booked plane tickets for me to go to Sydney to see him. It was a date.
Lil and I drove back to Moruya to be met with very hung over skydivers and not a lot of jumping action.
Today is my birthday and after a delicious brekky we've decided to cut our losses and head back to Melbourne. The boogie is all but over and we are ready.
