Well it is quite a while ago already, but now the semester is kind of over and there is time to write something into my blog.

The pasta bridge desingn competition is something that takes place every year here at the AMC. The students in the secound year are asked to build a bridge out of a kilo of pasta. The pasta can be chosen by the students as well as the glue. At the end the weight the bridge can carry deside on the mark the group get for that unit. This year the AMC record was broken with a bridge holding 180! kg. Although all bridges looked quite similar, the weights they hold couldn't be more different. The range went from 40 to 180 kilo. I haven't known that pasta is that strong. This competition is a great fun every year and there is always a big party connected to that. That could be an idea for the university of applied science in bremen as well. It doesn't take that much efford, it is efordable and it is a great reason for having a party.
