After the Uluru I drove to the Kings Canyon. There is a resort as well, but it's much smaler then the one at the Uluru. Nevertheless I met Julia there. She is from Hamburg and in the same scholarship then I. Once again that shows how small the world is. I drove to the Kings Canyon Resort after I watched the sunrise at the Uluru on June 30th. On the first of July I did the Kings Canyon Rim Walk in the morning. This is a 6 km loop through the canyon. It is said to be between moderate an hard. After this walk I stared with the Giles Track, a two day walk. I got everything I needed for the two days in my backpack, including a tent. The walk was amazing and I got a lot of stunning views. It was a great experience to hear the silence of the Outback out there. But it was quite a hard walk as well. Although there where some marks, it was not always easy to find the track. I would say that it is justified that it is recommendet not to walk alone but with at least two others and that you should take your satelite telephone or personal locator beacon. Nevertheless I survived it :p And I would do it again.
