Breakfast was a totally maniacal affair, as the people from the crossing of nations jostled for somewhere to sit, then elbowed each other for plates, ladles, tongs and cutlery from one of the many food stations serving Malay, Continental, English, Chinese or Japanese food.
We scrummed down for some pastries, toast and jam then fought our way to our table and relative luxury from the feeding frenzy.'We'll have breakfast upstairs tomorrow' we said to each other!
More shopping today although we came home empty handed but we did manage to grab some food in the lounge, use the free wifi and relax with a drink.I had a beer and when Maria asked for the cocktail list she was told that they didn't have cocktails, just juices and soda.'But when we took the upgrade we were told that cocktails were served from 1700-1930' Maria quizzed.'Yes, cocktails until 1930, would you like juice or soda' came the reply.Somewhat annoyed, Maria and I agreed that the hotel needed to clarify the terms and conditions of its upgrade package!
