Airlie beach.  We arrived in airlie quite late having been on the bus all day, we checked into our hostel and headed to get some food. I'm pretty sure we ate in McDonalds and then headed back to the hostel to sleep. We only had one full day at airlie beach so we went on a Whitsundays trip. We got collected from our hostel very early and then headed to the quay and boarded a catamaran. We met a couple of Scottish people ( brother and sister) as well and started talking with them. We climbed to the front of the boat and parked ourselves on the nets. The weather was beautiful and the water was very calm. We sat for hours absorbing the sun, chatting and helping ourselves to the endless supply of cold drinks. I got the opportunity to try scuba diving again but unfortunately the clarity of the water was poor. Back on board the boat set off and Dropped us off at Whitsunday island where the sand was pure White( it consisted of 95% silica. We sat on the beach and I went for a swim with one of our new friends. We then returned back to the boat and devoured the barbecue buffet that was provided for us. We managed to get our places back at the front of the boat and continued to sunbathe, chat and drink more cold drinks. I could really have become accustomed to it. We returned to our hostel and then later met up with our new friends for pizza and more Scottish chat. The following morning we got back on the good old greyhound and headed for Hervey bay. Hervey bay should be a new blog except for the fact there was nothing there of interest except for a $5 book shop and a pizza hut takeaway. I watched I love you man and Beatle juice in the hostel. We spent two nights there and then got the bus to emu beach to sleep for 8 hours, then got back on the bus to head for noosa. Next blog- Noosa, Australian zoo and Harry potter.
