BRAZIL - 1 1/2 weeks

Thank goodness we upgraded our bus seats - 1st class for th 24hr journey to the falls. Surprisingly it went very quickly!
The falls were very impressive from both sides, Brazil's side giving the panaramic view. Sadly the falls were not falling at their full capacity - only 40%. One can only imagine the greatness if it was falling at 100%!!!!

After the falls we said our sad good byes to Matt & Anna and we did once again get onto another bus. This time a staggering 26hours!!!!!! Not very nice buses in comparison to Argentina.. pity!

Anyway we made it!  - Last of the dreaded bus journeys. And into the beautiful city of Rio de Janeiro. so very excited for this - as Steve has always spoken so highly of this city. It trully is fabulous!

The weeks weather we had in the party capital was dismal and wet - so no top up tanning. We did however keep ourselves entertained and thoughts of home krept  in often - only 1 week to go!!!!!!

What did we get up to:

• Walked the streets of Copacabana and Impenena
• Football match at the massive Macarena stadium
• Street party in Lapa
• Acadamy of Cachaca
• Favela nightclub
• Funky Senarium Bar and various clubs
• Markets and Malls
• Statue of Christ - Corcovado
• Visited the quaint neighbourhood of Santaa Teresea
• And finally an Engagement ring bought!!!! Yahoooooooo

So the week flew by so fast...... and before we knew it we were at the airport waving goodbye to the fabulous South America. We will be back!
