Some of these blog entries may be in a present tense diary format, others may be past tense looking back. I'm sure you'll get the jist.
After a teary goodbye from the mother and sister (I could tell the father was holding back) I am now through security and in the departure lounge. As promised to my Auntie Shirley, and as I've started all international travels, I got myself a beer! It may only be 09:55, but Australia time it's 18:55, and I think that's a reason in itself. Before I went; I had a lot of people asking 'has it hit you yet?' Well, I can confirm that when I was walking towards security, that's when it hit me. Whilst I've got a minute to type this up, I'd like to say thanks to everyone who saw me off at the weekend, and sorry to those I said bye to, and then saw again after, and had to go through the whole ordeal again! Still though, staying up all night went well (apart from the greasy breakfast and the chunder that soon followed) and here's hoping that I'll be able to sleep on the plane ready for Wednesday night!

Currently on the plane, and in all honesty, it's not as comfortable as I thought it would be. I slept on and off probably from 10pm - 2am (Australian time) with food in the middle. Decided to watch a film at 3. Got a little bit distracted though. As we passed over Pakistan and/or North West India there were some flashes outside. Hell, I didn't know what to expect! But I tell you what is pretty awesome: A Thunder Storm at 34928ft. Looking down at clouds lighting up with sheet lightning. I've got 2314 left until we land in KL and I'm 4437 from London Heathrow, so I make that about 2/3 of the way to KL. 5am Australian time and I think it's about time for another nap.

Managed to sleep for an hour between 6:30 and 7:30 before being woken up for breakfast by Rita and Denis from Perth. They were sat next to me. A nice older couple but not very chatty.

Arrived in Kuala Lumpar airport early, so that was good, had enough time to take a walk around, free wifi, ipads for use, not busy in the slightest and quite classy in general. That was until I went to the toilet. I'd rather take a dump on an plane than go standing up thanks. So that's all I'm going to write this side of Australia, and I'll probably update for the rest of the journey including in my first night / couple of days in Sydney. So for now, this is One Man, having gone through One Lonnnnng Journey.
