After dropping Muriel off in Christchurch airport we hopped on our flight to Sydney, spectauclar views as we flew over the Southern Alps with one final view of Mount Cook. Arrived in Sydney and jumped in a cab to see Rob, Rachel, James and Izzy which was really nice. We spent the evening getting pretty piddled and then were lucky enough to have James wake us up nice and early for Lightning Mcqueen races. After a little nap we headed out for a wander down to Bondi beach and a look at the sculptures by the sea, artwork that has been placed along the coast. We then didn't do much before heading south to Melbourne to see Lisa, Hoges and Jamie our friends down there. It's really nice to be around friends and family again, and of course Steve is beginning his preparations for the Ashes!
