Just two days with the family in Sydney and we flew up to Melbourne to stay with Lisa and Hoges, before Muz flew back to Blighty for a wedding and Christmas. Fortunately for me, Muz had just finished her teacher training course so plenty of time for renewing our university activities; trashy magazine reading, boozing and eating. Fortunately, nothing was too arduous for Steve either.
Four seasons in one day, as Crowded House say isn't just a saying in Melbourne and we witnessed a brilliant thunderstorm from the pub and sunshine later. Photo attached to this is taken from the Sofitel hotel, where you have to sneak in to get to the toilets on the 40 somethingth floor to get views over the city. Better than paying $40 for the tourist tower next door.
We also met up with an old friend of Steve's from Shrewsbury and spent a day wandering around St Kilda, including a visit to Luna Park, where we played on the rides in the rain.
It's been fantastic to catch up with old friends and completely relax and not have to go into the story of where we're from, where we're going etc.
