hello,
another update already, haven~t they got anything else better to do you must be thinking, well, we´re moving hostels as steve who has become self-appointed budget controller has realised we-re spending 3x our budget already so we´re moving out of our lovely terraced, gardened, free internet mansion and into something that we can actually afford. it´s very hard to get out of holiday mode and steve is the only one of us thinking about spending wisely so far.
haven~t really done much yet, off to Ipanamea beach shortly.
to date:
films watched on plane= 3
tickets bought for sambadrome tonight = 2
number of times got shat on by a bird= 1 (alison only, unfortunate incident in a cafe)
number of caiprinhas consumed (potent) = 2
amount of portugese spoken = none. (very poor show but its extremely difficult so we´re managing with our own style of pigeon spanish/mumbling strategy which has worked out so far)
hours spent wandering around the city yesterday = 6.
amount of suntan lotion used= none. its actually been quite cool, 26 degrees and a bit rainy but that~s suited us fine while we getting our bearings and spending the days walking.

Pippa, Paul & Caitlin Wow sounds like you are starting your adventure with some excitement, but boo to the sensible one making you move from a nice hostel...hope the new one is ok. Caitlin has been to a party today and it was like Alsion was still here, Caitlin was having a little dance with her arm in the air!!!! Have fun, snow forecasted for here tonight so 26 degrees sounds particularly hot. Take care Pip and Paul, big kisses to uncle steve and auntie alison from caitlin x
Terry Not enough Caiprinhas. x
Rosie Dudes. I thought you'd be slumming it with the cockroaches not in some mansion with cool white cotton sheets, that's just not on. How can you possibly think that 26 degrees is "cool"? That's just a kick in the nuts for us poor brits... we are languishing at a significantly less than "cool" 5 degrees. Loved the bird s***..... ha ha! I meant to ring to say goodbye but where did this week go? Well my lovely travellers, enjoy, look forward to reading more soon. Travel safely! Love Rosie, Richard, Jack & Jessie. xxx
Virginie Cannot believe that you are complaining about the weather...just to remind you that when you were still in London last week it was pouring with rain! Ben and I spent the weekend in Manchester and we had snow and minus 3! so would love your cool 26 degrees....i hope the new hostel is good. Enjoy....We are already missing you guys! Bisous, Virginie
