G'day mate! Well we left New South Wales and drove up the Gold Coast towards Brisbane! We stayed at Byron Bay which is just great, a really nice seaside town with cool little restaurants and specialist shops and stuff. Then headed off to Surfers Paradise which is so much more touristy, huge skyscraper holiday appartments all the way along the coast. It was still nice though. We stayed over night in a s***ting carpark by the beach! Not getting any sleep as we're getting up every five minutes to look out the window to see if we've been clamped or worse, rolled down on to the beach into the sea! Ha, that'll be me next update, from somewhere in the Pacific Ocean, 'sailing up the East coast in our camper!'.

We drove through Brisbane and on to the Sunshine coast where we are now! We're at a place called Noosa Heads and it is gorgeous! Everybody is out on the river here, sailing or fishing and topping up their tans. And the houses and apartments on the banks of the river are absolutely stunning - this is where the money is. So, again, we stayed in a carpark over night after we'd driven past all the gorgeous looking exclusive restaurants and settled down to beans on s***ting toast! We had a great day at the beach before that so it wasn't bad.

Today we checked out 'Steve Irwins Zoo' Crikey' 'What a rippa' We spent all day there, it's massive we saw kangaroos, koalas, Indian Elephants, Tigers, Wallabies, Emus, some birds and some snakes. It was really good actually, we watched all the live shows and stuff. Tell you what though, she's cashing in! The daughter's even brought out an excercise video for kids - dunno bout that! Anyway always remember Crocs Rule!!!

Really can't wait for our Fraser Island tour and sailing around the Whitsunday Islands (not in the camper). I think we're both ready to 'do' something as opposed to just 'seeing' stuff. And at the minute we're both thinking about what we're doing after Australia too. Right then I'm off, I've got a plate of beans on toast with my name all over it!
