Don't know where we're goin! Got no way o' knowin'! Drivin on the road to nowhere! Aye, I've met up with Paddy and we're in our campervan driving up the East Coast of Australia!
I flew in to Sydney from Alice Springs in the centre to meet up with Alex and her friends that are out here. I also managed to meet up with a friend I met in Botswana who lives here too. We were also here for 'Australia Day' a day where every Aussie goes mad and gets drunk and waves their flags. There were loads of fireworks and stuff, I had a walk along the coastal path and got to see some beautiful bays between 'Coogee' (where we stayed) and Bondi beach, everyone was out dancing and having BBQs on the beach. That night we all went to a foam party and got washed! Was funny though!
I also went to the Opera House and watched tennis on the big screen there, walked around the harbour and got a ferry to Manly beach. It was an excellent way to see Sydney and the harbour - think our captain warra bit pissed though, boat was swaying a bit!
Talkin about swayin! The next day we all went on booze cruise around the harbour! What a day that was! It was excellent, the sun was shining, the beer was flowing - I was singing!!!!! Get In!!!! My first Karaoke - since I left! I owned it! It wa some lass' birthday and she wanted to sing - I soon had her outa' way and got me scissor sisters in! The cruise was good though, it stopped off at different points in the harbour so we could go to the pubs too! Oh, Alex got on a Harley and burnt her leg!
Then we got our campervan! And I met my friend (who I met in Botswana) and she showed me the sights too. Only, I had to drive to meet her. I can't even drive through Leeds without getting totally lost! But I managed it and drove through the harbour tunnel and I got there and we had a drive along the coast and I saw some beautiful bays and great views of the city! On my way back I drove over the Harbour Bridge at night in to the city lights - It was excellent! really was! And I drove Alex and her friends up to the 'Blue Mountains' It's a massive national park - but the views are absolutely stunning! You can see for miles.
Then we said goodbye to Sydney and to Alex's friends and drove off in to the sunset! Our first night on the road we stayed at Myall Lakes national park (somewhere up the coast) that was nice. I managed to bury the van trying to reverse in the sand! Had fun trying to get that b****** out! But I did and after a nine hour drive we're now at Byron Bay just south of Brisbane. It's really nice here too, think we'll stay here a couple of days at least and top up our tans!
Oh, if you're interested I've set up a new website i'mb******ingskintpleasehelpme.com I tell thi! This travellin's expensive! So, I'll be comin home sooner than I thought, I'm gonna go to South East Asia for a bit after Oz and then probably fly home, I'll see, daren't look at me bank statements!
Right, I'm off - Alex is trying to parallel park - should be a laugh!
