Needless to say after our night of boozing we set off for the border a tad later than planned - we had hoped to go straight to South Luangwa where the national park is but given our late start we headed for Chipata the first town on the Zambian side of the border. So overland border crossing number 2 - this was an even more straight forward experience than my first land border. It's also a little treat the Irish people get into Zambia for free (almost all other nationalities have to pay $50). This makes up for my double fee to get into Tanzania (I might leave and come back to Zambia a few times to really take advantage). Then the five of us piled into a car (I was ok I was in the front) and made our way to Chipata. I was able to camp which was a nice (start clawing back the cost of the tent - first $5 saved)and surprisingly comfortable! We arranged a lift to south Luangwa for 7 the following morning!
