So after a night bus we arrived in Nazca the home of the famous Nazca lines - lines in the ground that have been there for centuries and nobody really knows why. The reason the description is a bit vague is that I spent most of the time there chilling. I opted not to fly over the lines to see them as it was $90. This is because there has been a recent spate of accidents so they've had to increase the safety precautions resulting in increased costs! Therefore although they are extremely interesting I opted to spend the morning chilling instead of flying over the lines (Aoidin did fly over incidentally and apparently they are awesome). We had a chilled out afternoon and then in the evening headed went to the observatory to see a documentary about the Nazca lines. When we arrived (after walking in a loop for about 20mins away from the observatory thanks to some excellent directions from a very nice man - we followed him from just outside the observatory for at least 10mins) we got to look at the moon through a telescope and at jupiter and 4 of it's moons, very cool. Then we watched a documentary about the lines which was really interesting but I was tired and the room was dark so I may have nodded off a little - but it was very interesting. That was our last (only) night in Nazca and Aoidin's penultimate night in Peru L. Nothing left to do but head to Lima for one final blowout!
