Stephen and Jo Planet Earth...
Well it's the morning after the night before - the wine tasting day actually. We decide to have a more relaxing trip to Denmark, little did we realise that is it over 300km from Margaret River so we spent most of the day in the car. 50km from Denmark is the ' Land of Giants ' this is a canapy walk through the Tingle trees on a raised walkway and when they say raised they mean raised it was 40m high in the tops of the trees. This wouldn't have been too bad but for the howling gale moving the walkway from side to side, but at least the rain held off. Day 2 saw us start the day fixing the puncture we seemed to acquire over night - but on further inspection it seemed to be caused by the nail sticking out of the tyre. Once the spare was put on (I must say I could be in line for a place on Ferrari's pit crew the speed I completed it) we headed to Albany an old whaling port. Instead of visiting 'Whale World' we went for the cheap option and took the coast road to see the natural rock formations produced by the sea. 1st stop was the GAP, 10m seperated by the most white water we've ever seen then to the NATURAL BRIDGE as the name suggest a bridge with the sea underneath although I wouldn't have wanted to cross it. Last but not least was the BLOW HOLES this is where the sea sprays through a hole in the rock. The wind and the rain finally got the better of us an we headed back to the warmth of the motel. Next day was the trip back to Perth. 410km of pure bordem as there in no radio reception down here, the only excitement interspersing the mammoth 'I Spy' session was when I was pulled over for a random breath test by a copper from Birkenhead of all places, apparently drink driving is a popular past time with all the wineries in such close proximetry.
