To say we are a tad behind in the blog writing is an understatement, but hang in there guys, only 3 weeks left, thanks for sticking with it!
We arrived by ferry to Victoria, a very "British" part of British Columbia. We stayed in a funky 1970's motel which I got for a bargain. We visited the museum and also a kind of model village called Minature World, which had bizzare dioramas of things like "Custers Last Stand" alongside "The Seven Dwarfs Diamond Mine". It was ace. But the highlight was The Bug Zoo, I elbowed all the kids out of the way to have a look at some fabulous spiders, roaches, stick insects etc. Well worth the 5 dollar entry fee.
The we hired a ridiculously expensive car to get to the other side of Vancouver Island. See next entry.
