I have only good things to say about Berlin so far! We arrived here first thing this morning at like 545am! It was pretty cold - but that's not a bad thing after being to some super-hot places. We managed to find our hostel about 2 hours later, and although we couldn't check in we hung around and used the wi-fi for a bit! Our hostel is pretty cool - it has a huge bar downstairs that does lots of food and drink, plus chill rooms upstairs with couches, TV, pool table etc. The only downside is that we have radiators in our bedrooms so it's SO hot in there!

Today we managed to see quite a bit despite being pretty exhausted. Matt can't ever sleep on buses or planes because he has such long legs! Which means my sleep gets disrupted quite a bit too. When we were chilling on the couches this morning I kept drifting in and out of sleep! But around lunchtime we met up with MARIEEEEEEEEEEE (Bayfielders you should remember her, the German one!). She absolutely spoiled us with lunch, drinks, train tickets etc! We were also shown around some of the attractions including the Brandenburg Gate and the Holocaust memorial.

The coolest thing about being in Germany is I absolutely love learning about Cold War politics! I find it suuuper interesting - and obviously being in Berlin means I'm constantly surrounded by it.

Tomorrow Matt and I are going to try out one of the walking tours our hostel offers! We get picked up at 1035am and do three and a half hours of walking to check out all the major attractions. So tomorrow I'll probably have heaps to write about and lots and lots of photos :) My main highlight today was catching up with the lovely Marieeeeee and therefore the rest of the day has been pretty chilled. VERY, VERY EXCITED FOR WARSAW RIGHT NOW!
