Day 46-48
Well canyoning was a laugh!!! Didn't realise how unbalanced and how little coordination I had until I spent most of the trip on my bum and fell over more times than anybody else! I think it was because the water was SO cold I couldn't physically put one foot in front of the other or use my hands for support! Haha I don't know why but I thought the water would be hot like a jacuzzi!! I soon realised this was not the case! We were literally getting instant brain freeze when we were underwater! Jake loved it and was really good at it though! He even did the highest jump into the deep pool which I wimped out of! We are really sore and stiff today so it must of been good exercise which is a bonus!
Yesterday we met up with our friends from Australia (they are actually from Essex) and went out for drinks to watch the New Zealand vs Peru World Cup playoff (New Zealand lost) and everyone was gutted but it was a good game and then we sat out in the sun for a bit as it was really hot!! Last night was our last night in the minging hostel WOO HOO! And we are now in a place called Te Anau for 1 night which is just a stop over as it's half way to Milford Sound which is where we are going tomorrow for a cruise around the fiord. The fiord is Supposed to be breathtaking so we are looking forward to that (even though to get there in time for the cruise we have to leave our accommodation at 6am tomorrow morning which jake isn't to impressed about lol). Tonight we are in a cute cabin in a holiday park which also has camper van and tent camping spots with loads of outdoor space so it's really relaxing and feels like luxury compared to what we've had the last few nights so I think we will be asleep very early haha.
We have also learnt to cook a stir fry and tomato pasta dish using only a plastic tub and a kettle! Amazing! Basically cook the pasta and noodles in the plastic tub with boiling water (takes a while lol) then we add a tin of chopped tomatoes or soy sauce and boom we have a meal! This will come in very handy as we have a few hotels coming up where the only cooking utensils we will have is a kettle!
Tomorrow straight after the cruise we are driving 5 hours to a town called Dunedin which is supposed to be really nice and is a copy city of Edinburgh! We have never been to Edinburgh so I guess we will see both in one! We also have a really nice hotel for 2 nights there which we are looking forward to!
Still doesn't feel very Christmassy so we are going to buy some tinsel in Dunedin so we can decorate the car and our hotel rooms to help us get in the spirit (jakes not fond of the idea but we are doing it) lol
I'll post some pics now, check out the views we had from one of our queenstown walks (AMAZING!!) the walk up to that point wasn't though haha
Miss you all loads! Xxxxxxx

Maurice Lloyd I knew the water would be very cold. I read it on trip advisor. The promotional video from the company was very graphic. You both did very well to complete the course. Loved your video. Weather seems to be very good for you. Seen Milford Sound on tv. Looks amazing. Thanks for the update. Loved pics.
